What is two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication is basically a digital double lock; once an employee enters their login credentials, they will then be asked for an authentication code as well.
How does two-factor authentication work?
When two-factor authentication is enabled, to sign in your employees will need to enter their username (email address/phone number) and password like normal. But they will also be sent a secure, 6-digit code via SMS to the mobile phone number they have registered, and will then have 60 seconds to enter the code where prompted in Hive.
After 60 seconds have passed, the code will become invalid and they will need to generate a new code by logging in again.
To set up two-factor authentication for your people, get in touch with our Support Squad via the Hive Support Centre!
