Managing Your Live Survey
Once a survey is live, you have full control to manage surveys in real time, making decisions that best suit your organisation’s needs.
All open surveys include a Survey Settings, which opens a menu of useful options:
1. Close Survey
Finished collecting the insights you need? You can close your survey early at any time. Simply select Close Survey to end it immediately and lock in your results.
2. Add New Recipients
Need to bring more employees into the conversation after your survey has already launched? No problem. Admins can add recipients to an ongoing survey directly from the Open Survey widget in the Survey Campaigns menu.
3. Edit Survey
With Edit Survey, you can make important adjustments while your survey is live. Hive will open the survey builder in “edit mode,” where you’ll have flexibility to refine certain elements without impacting data integrity.
What You Can Do:
- View questions and content to confirm everything looks right.
- Re-order questions for better flow.
- Enable Key Driver Analysis to unlock deeper insights.
- Amend email templates, such as updating reminder emails to encourage participation or highlight response rates.
- Extend the survey close date to give employees more time to share their feedback.
What You Cannot Do:
To ensure data consistency and fairness across all respondents, you cannot:
- Add new questions.
- Amend existing questions.

With these tools, admins can take control of survey management directly, tailoring the process to your organisation’s needs. Whether it’s closing early, adding new participants, or fine-tuning communications, you can manage your survey with confidence from start to finish.
