Your Essential Team Report

📊 The Essential Team Report is an editable, professional report suitable for managers and can be generated directly from your live dashboard.

  1. Filter for survey dashboard
    1. Navigate to the Survey Results dashboard in Hive.
    2. Apply Filters (e.g., Department or Team) to isolate the specific group you want to view.
    3. Pro Tip: The report is generated based exactly on the audience you have filtered on your screen.
  2. Configure your report
    1. Go to the Reports tab and select Essential Report.
    2. Configure your report and use the "Add Context" box to tell the AI what is happening on the ground.
    3. Include recent events like a project launch, team restructure, or busy period. This ensures the AI narrative reflects your team's reality, not just the raw numbers.
  3. Download & Review
    1. Click Generate; your report will be saved in your Exports folder. 
    2. The deck is an editable PowerPoint so you can refine the language, add your own internal terminology, or adjust the tone before your team meeting.

Ownership of feedback shouldn't be an annual event; it’s a conversation that happens in your weekly 1:1s and team meetings. Here is how to use your report to drive real change:

  1. Build Trust Through Transparency
    1. Be Open: Share the results with your team as soon as possible to build trust.
    2. Celebrate the Wins: Don't just focus on the gaps; celebrate your team's strengths and what is going well.
    3. Frame the Conversation: Position the results as "our opportunity" to improve how we work together.
  2. Co-Create the Action Plan
    1. Involve the Team: Don't decide on actions in a silo; run a team session to discuss the results and prioritise what matters most to them.
    2. Focus on the "Levers": Look at the Comparison Heatmaps to see where your team stands vs. the Org average—this helps identify specific focus areas.
  3. Close the Loop
    • Assign Ownership: Ensure every action has a clear owner and a deadline.
    • Track Progress: Revisit your action plan regularly in your 1:1s to sustain momentum.
    • Show the Impact: Explicitly show the team where their feedback has driven real change to prevent "survey fatigue".

  • For teams with 50+ responses, you’ll receive a Thematic Analysis. For smaller teams, you’ll get a concise AI Summarisation to protect privacy while still providing the "why".

How does "Add Context" work?

You can tell the AI about specific team events so the report reflects your team's actual reality, not just the raw numbers.

Can I apply filters in the dashboard and generate an Org report based on filters?

In-depth Insight Reports focus on an organisation wide view and are generated on all survey results. If you like to focus on one area you’ll be able to generate this from a team report and add any further analysis you find from the platform. 

Who can see thematic analysis? 

All users  will be able to see high level themes in their report. Themes gives managers context and actions without impacting perception of confidentiality (i.e when viewing specific comments and seeing tones etc)

Can I see Key Drivers in the report?

Absolutely. If you have access to Key Drivers on your dashboard, you can include these insights in your report.

  • If you have both Team and Organisation-level access: You can choose which level of driver analysis you’d like to feature in your report configuration.
  • If you have one level of access: Your report will automatically default to the drivers available in your current view.
