Overview
Dynamic Team Filtering is a setting designed to simplify how managers interact with their data while maintaining strict organisational privacy standards.
In a traditional setup, admins must manually select which "attributes" (like Department, Location, or Tenure) a manager is allowed to use as filters. With Dynamic Team Filtering enabled, Hive automates this process by looking at the specific segments within a manager’s remit and only showing the filter options that are relevant to that specific group.
How it Works with Confidentiality
Confidentiality isn't just a setting in Hive - it's a system. Dynamic Team Filtering works in tandem with our core safety features:
1. The Safety Margin (Response Threshold)
Even if a manager can see a filter (e.g., "Tenure: 10+ years"), they can only view the results if that segment meets your organisation's Minimum Response Threshold (usually 6 responses). If a group is too small, the results remain hidden to protect individual identities.
2. Existing Data Boundaries
This feature does not change whose data a manager can see. A user’s Access (their data boundary) is always applied first; this setting simply makes the sidebar more intuitive and automated within that boundary.
💡 If this is something your organisation would benefit from please reach out to your Account Manager to discuss further.
